Software as a Mission Initiative

Like all open source software, ChurchApps relies on volunteer coders to help with development and refinement of our software.  The problem is, there are not enough volunteers to meet the need. We need to add a full time coder who will be dedicated to fixing bugs and improving our software. Another option would be to outsource some of our coding to paid services and freelance coders.

If you are looking for a place for your gift to make a lasting impact, this is it! This is a great opportunity to invest in the Kingdom! Coders are the backbone of our ministry. The work they do is crucial to the technology infrastructure of the Church. Would you consider mentioning this need to someone who is looking for a place to make a lasting impact? Software Improvements

In the past few months we have been working hard on the user interface for Chums and B1.  Several improvements have been made to make a more user friendly experience. These improvements include a new home page design and a new way to access tutorials and the github forum. Thank you to Jeremy Zongker for all the time and effort you put into making ChurchApps great!

Preach The Word

The theme for the 2025 Preaching /Teaching convention was Preach the Word! It was a challenging conference with some great speakers. Terry presented the workshop entitled, "Unlocking Affordable Excellence: Navigating Free Resources for Kingdom Success". The workshop was a discussion of popular open source software that can be easily adopted to the church. ChurchApps software and ministry tools were also presented.

Serving the Church

Our volunteer resource partners, Micheal and Kari Byrd have been busy working with churches. For the past few weeks they have been in Fort Pierce, Florida at Southside Christian Church. Micheal helped train 6 people on using/running FreeShow. He also was happy to help fill in on bongos.

Kari taught children’s church for the entire month of Feb (Micheal filled in one week when she couldn’t be there) to give the Minister’s wife a break. They also had a great time and made a lot of friends at the Children's Pastors Conference in Orlando the first of January.

Micheal and Kari will be headed to Byrdstown, Tennessee to work with the First Christian Church. He plans on helping them with their audio/visual presentation and sharing all of our ministry tools. Please keep Micheal and Kari in your prayers as they travel.

Thank you to everyone who supports ChurchApps financially and with prayer
